What's important to know

Outside, not inside

Heat is stopped before it reaches the glass, so the room stays cooler in summer than with indoor blinds.

Surface-mounted or built-in headbox

In a new-build, the box is often built into the façade. For an existing house, a surface-mounted box works well.

Control and protection

Systems come with a hand crank or a motor; roller shutters are also available in anti-burglary versions. We specify the exact class in the quote.

Will they fit an already-built house?

Yes, a surface-mounted box is fitted onto the existing window. We confirm this is possible after an inspection.

Do I need electricity?

For a motorised system — yes. Manual control with a crank or a chain doesn't need electricity.

Do they protect against break-ins?

Roller shutters come in anti-burglary versions. We'll tell you which class suits your property when we prepare the quote.
